Busy Start to 2013

After all the excitement of Foden's becoming Double Champions at the end of 2012 Glyn Williams Music has been hard at work supplying instrument both new and 2nd hand to lots of customers. Brass players are always keen to discover what instruments the Double Champions play on and Glyn is very proud to have supplied lots of them!

At Foden's all the horn section, the baritones and euphoniums all play on Sterling Virtuoso instruments. We are particularly proud of Richard Poole, Foden's Soprano Cornet player who won the Best Instrumentalist Award at the 2012 Nationals on his Sterling Virtuoso Soprano.

In January Glyn & Helen took the trade stand to Butlins Contest where they enjoyed meeting friends and customers on what was a very hectic weekend as Glyn was also there as conductor of Marsden Band in the Championship Section, and weekends away from home have been very much par for the course since Christmas.

Glyn & Helen also travelled with Foden's colleagues Mark Wilkinson & John Barber for a weekend of tutoring on the Isle of Man, with all Foden's for 3 concerts in Armagh, Northern Ireland and for a worskop and Foden's concert on home ground for Glyn in Dolgellau, Gwynedd.

After filming and recording work that took place late last October, Glyn is now pleased to announce that Marsden Band are working with Yorkshire Tea (watch out for band members, including Helen, on the new advert!) for the next 12 months and will be performing at the Ashes on cricket pitches around the country this Summer!

Unfortunately Glyn & Helen are unable to take the trade stand to this year's North West Area Contest but will be there anyway with Foden's if you wish to make any instrument enquiries in person.

Next news update will be after the Areas.......good luck to all those competing!
